Product Overview

The rapid advancement of biopharmaceuticals, brought about by an increased need for more effective infectious disease prevention and control, is driving significant industry growth.

Additionally, a move towards developing new products designed to stimulate the innate and adaptive immune systems, and a need for new treatments for chronic diseases of companion animals – such as atopic dermatitis, obesity, and ageing diseases – are also expanding the biopharmaceuticals market.

The report reviews the profiles the major companies involved in the sector, and details the companion and food animal applications together with products available and information on the class and profiles of products in development. It also describes the market and its projected growth over the next five to 10 years. A chapter is dedicated to the regulation of biopharmaceuticals and how this differs in different territories between pharmaceuticals and biologicals, including special arrangements in some jurisdictions for products containing genetically modified organisms.

Additionally, industry prospects are considered with a focus on market drivers, market needs, future potential value, and technological and funding drivers.

Key features include:
• Projected market growth over the next five to 10 years
• Territorial differences for biopharmaceuticals regulation
• Prospects focused on market trends and needs, potential value, and technological and funding drivers
• Overviews of major industry players, products available and profiles of products in development
