Quick Overview

Brazil has become one of the world’s largest producers and exporters of beef, chicken and pork. The study analyses the Brazilian meat sector’s strengths and weaknesses in depth and demonstrates that the comparative advantages which the country’s meat industry enjoys, combined with global economic and demographic trends, should ensure an extremely bright future for the sector. This is despite the challenges of rising land, labour and feed costs, poor logistics, and animal health problems. The report contains a wealth of statistical data about production, consumption and trade in Brazilian meat and livestock products.
