A strategic industry analysis

Brazil has an almost unique potential to supply the large amounts of soft commodities and other foods required as the world’s population continues to grow and consumers become more prosperous.

This report gives you an overview of the Brazilian agricultural sector as well as examining, in depth, the four principal grains which are planted in Brazil - soya, maize (corn), wheat, and rice.

It analyses production data as well as studying economic performance, government measures and potential constraints to growth. The strengths and weaknesses of the grains and oilseeds industry in Brazil are explored, together with an assessment of the political, financial, commercial and agronomic conditions under which the sector is operating.

This new report looks in detail at:

  • Land availability and suitability
  • The performance of the Brazilian economy
  • Analysis of the changing demographics in Brazil
  • Internal and external constraints on growth
  • Logistics – Brazil’s ‘Achilles heel’.
