Product Overview

African crop yields are the lowest in the world, leading to the need for increasing food imports at the continental and national level, as supply fails to keep up with the high rate of population and economic growth, and low farmer incomes.

The reasons for this are many: poorly defined land rights, lack of infrastructure and credit, declining extension servicers to name but a few. But sub-optimal use of inputs in general and seed in particular are a major factor.
